The E-Pathanshala initiative is a transformative program launched to bridge the digital divide and empower marginalized students with the tools and resources needed to access quality education. With a focus on underserved communities, this program brings essential digital learning to students who otherwise lack the means to succeed in today's competitive academic environment. By providing smart classrooms, digital devices, and premium online learning subscriptions, E-Pathanshala creates equitable opportunities for education, ensuring that every child, no matter their background, has the chance to excel academically.
CAUSE
In India, a significant portion of the population, especially in slums and rural areas, faces barriers to education due to a lack of access to digital devices, learning materials, and proper infrastructure. The COVID-19 pandemic further exacerbated these challenges, making remote learning nearly impossible for many marginalized students. With education moving online, millions of children were left behind, unable to continue their studies due to their socio-economic status. The need for accessible digital education solutions became even more critical as these children faced increased vulnerability, compounded by poverty, lack of internet access, and inadequate educational resources.
OUR ACTION
In response to these challenges, E-Pathanshala implemented several impactful actions to bridge the educational gap :
Smart Classrooms Setup : We established smart classrooms in government and charitable schools across multiple regions, enabling teachers and students to access interactive and engaging digital content, significantly enhancing the learning experience.
Byju’s Premium Subscription : E-Pathanshala partnered with Byju’s to provide premium educational subscriptions to 1.5 lakh marginalized students. This subscription gives them access to high-quality learning materials, covering core academic subjects and exam preparation for competitive exams like JEE/NEET, creating a level playing field.
Digital Device Distribution : During the COVID-19 pandemic, we distributed 35,000 refurbished digital devices to slum children who lacked the means to purchase their own. These devices ensured that these children could continue their education from home, even in the face of lockdowns and school closures.
Access to E-Learning Platforms : We provided access to a variety of e-learning platforms, giving students the tools to prepare for exams, complete assignments, and engage in self-paced learning. These platforms, which included practice tests, mock exams, and digital study material, allowed students to continue their education uninterrupted.

Distribution of Premium Byju's Subscriptions
1.5 Lakh Students Provided with Byju’s Premium Access : Through a strategic partnership with Byju’s, E-Pathanshala has offered high-quality educational subscriptions to 150,000 students from marginalized backgrounds and 600 crore inkind support as per the market value of this subscription.
Enhanced Academic Performance and Competitive Exam Preparation : Students now have access to core subject materials, personalized study paths, and exam preparation resources, helping them excel academically and prepare for competitive exams like JEE and NEET.
Digital Device Distribution During COVID-19
35,000 Digital Devices Distributed : Recognizing the critical need for digital access, E-Pathanshala distributed 35,000 refurbished digital devices to students who lacked the means to continue learning from home during the pandemic.
